Set point theory says that our bodies each have a unique weight range - largely determined by genetics - that they like to maintain in spite of our best efforts. While proponents of dieting like to spin this theory to promote weight loss, we believe that set point theory can help you make peace with food and your body.
If you’ve heard the term “set point weight,” as an intuitive eater, you might feel torn or confused. You may feel like intuitive eating is anti-weight loss, or that you’re not allowed to talk about weight in the intuitive eating/anti-diet space. We disagree!

After this class, your eyes will be open to the fatphobia that surrounds us (even our own!) and influences studies on weight and health. You’ll also have an evidence-based assessment to determine if you are above or below your set point weight range. Best of all, you’ll have actual strategies to improve your overall health that won’t negatively impact your relationship with food and your body!
